John E. Swain
John E. Swain (a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, Houston, Texas and Baylor University, Waco, Texas) graduated from Baylor Law School in August, 1964. He returned to Houston, Texas immediately upon graduation and became associated with Carl T. Denson, Jr., a long- time friend and mentor. Mr. Denson was then a practitioner with an emphasis in Real Estate, as well as Probate and Administration of Estates. As the firm grew it was known as Denson, Tillman, Pribilski, and Swain located just outside of downtown Houston off of Jackson Hill Road. In 1979 , John Swain became an equal shareholder and named partner in the firm Denson and Swain, Attorneys, P.C. This law firm continued in the Heights area of Houston at the corner of Washington Avenue and Waugh Drive for nearly two decades. Upon the death ofCarl Denson, the entirety of the law firm was acquired by Mr. Swain. The firm continued under the same name until joined by S. Tyler Swain in 1998 and its name was eventually changed to The Swain Law Firm, P.C.
During the course of his career and while continuing to practice law, John Swain served as Chairman of the Board of First Northwestern Bank, an independent community bank which was ultimately sold to Wells Fargo. His legal practice continues to emphasizeReal Estate Transactions and Probate and Administration of Estates.
Mr. Swain has always been active in community service, his church, and related ministries. He has served as Deacon at Garden Oaks Baptist Church and as a Member of Union Baptist Foundation, for a number of years. Additionally, he served as the President of the Optimist Club of Houston giving of his time to serve charities and the community. In 1978, he joined Cypress Bible Church where he continues to attend and has served as Deacon, Chairman of Board of Elders and on various committees. He is married to Ledra Swain ( also a Baylor Graduate) for more than 50 years. They are the parents of two sons, John David Swain and Tyler Swain. John and Ledra Swain are the proud grandparents of seven mighty fine grandchildren.

S. Tyler Swain
S. Tyler Swain joined the law firm of Denson & Swain, P.C. in 1998. He is an honors graduate of Baylor University and received his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1996. His practice is primarily devoted to real estate, probate, and estate planning and Tyler frequently works as co-counsel with plaintiffs' firms in multi-million dollar litigation. Tyler has earned the reputation amongst his colleagues as a skillful negotiator and navigator through the courts in all matters related to probate.
Tyler is a native Houstonian residing in the Memorial area with his wife, Liz. He is blessed with four wonderful children, including his twin daughters, Anna and Kara, and his sons Connor and Sean.
